Students and Parents – it’s time to put on our running shoes, have some fun, and raise money for Hankey K-8 International Baccalaureate (IB) program.

Classroom Reward Winners!
Middle School SOAR – Mr. Paterno’s SOAR class was our top fundraising classroom, raising CHIEF $1,422! Students received a pancake breakfast hosted by CHIEF and Mrs. Aguilera!
Elementary Classroom – Miss Cantacessi’s 1st grade class was our top-earning elementary classroom, raising $1,990. Miss Cantacess’s class will enjoy a movie & popcorn at lunchtime before the Winter Break.
* Mrs Peterson’s 1st grade class came so close to Miss Cantacessi’s class, that CHIEF has decided to include Mrs Peterson’s class in the lunchtime fun as well!

Hawk Trot 2017 – Let’s FUNdraise for IB!
Get your running shoes ready, because Hankey’s 7th Annual Hawk Trot jog-a-thon FUNdraiser to support our International Baccalaureate (IB) program will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 15!
CUSD provides support for Hankey’s IB program through staffing and professional development, but the additional costs – exceeding $90,000 a year – are self-funded by our school community. So we’re running to raise money for programs such as IB teacher training/planning time, elementary Spanish, Art Masters (K-8), YMCA PE and IB program fees; as well as classroom supplies & resources.
Students will be bringing home a packet TODAY with details about how to collect funds to support the IB program. But you can help them get started now by sending family and friends an email from our PledgeStar online fundraising page! Here’s how:

Step 3—Follow the on-screen instructions & send out requests!
It only takes minutes to set up and send pledge requests!
For every 10 emails sent out from PledgeStar, your student will receive a raffle ticket towards our GRAND PRIZE – an Xbox Game Party for 25 people at the Microsoft Store at the Shops at Mission Viejo!
Students will also receive 1 raffle ticket for every $25 donation made to CHIEF (all donations made this school year will be counted) towards the GRAND PRIZE! In addition, we will have weekly FUN classroom rewards for the elementary and SOAR classroom that has raised the most money each week!
