Run for IB in this year’s Hawk Trot on Wednesday, November 8th!!

Flyers should have gone home with your students Friday 10/13/2023 to let you know about CHIEF’s biggest fundraiser of the year, our olympic themed fun run, the Hawk Trot.

Register your students online at www.pledgestar.com/carlhankey to get started sending emails and raising money for IB programs (elementary Spanish and middle school design). The elementary and middle school students who raise the most money for IB will get to slime Principal Aguilera or Vice Principal Owens. Classrooms/SOAR classrooms that reach their goal of raising $1500 will get slime prize packs and extra slime to dump on our Principal/VP. Treat parties for classrooms are planned for each week’s highest tally of donations. Schoolwide surprises will be revealed after we hit our goal of $30,000 for IB programs at Hankey. 

Bring your dollar bills and look for our $1 Spin & Win Prize wheel in front of school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays before and after school in the weeks leading up to the run to win even more cool prizes. Thank you for your support!

We are so excited to welcome our Hawks on campus this 2023-24 school year. With your help, we are bringing back and improving upon the IB programs that have allowed Hankey students to prosper and thrive in the classroom and our greater community.

The IB program at Hankey costs in excess of $50,000 per year and is self-funded by the Hankey community. CHIEF must fundraise approximately $125 per child to ensure the continuation of our IB programs.

Donating today, in any amount you can give, keeps our programs thriving and is a great way to kick off the new year.

With about 80 guests the Black & White Gala was fun! Great time to catch up with the Hawk community including the teachers and staff.

Due to the downpour predicted over the next couple of days our Hawk Trot Olympic themed fun run has been postponed for one week. Our hawks will be running for IB on Wednesday, November 16th.
